In case you were wondering . . .

Yes, we are still alive. I've felt like I have the creativity of a flea lately, so I haven't felt much like writing. So since I don't feel very creative, here are the vital statistics.

I'm LOVING spring. Our trees are blossoming and I look outside and say a little prayer of thanks for the warm weather. I've been quite happy and content the last few weeks. It may be the warm weather, it may be that my wonderful mother came for a two-week visit, or it may be that I'm currently hyped up on anti-depressants. I don't know, but it's a great feeling.

Steve is back on the night shift on the trauma service. Every night is a new adventure in saving lives. These beautiful glasses are his most recent purchase for work. Apparently they are all the rage in the operating room. I don't even want to talk about how much they cost.

Allison has recently taken to calling me "Mother." Not "mommy," not "mom," just "mother." I don't know why, but it really gets under my skin.

We've been trying something new at our house to help Allie pick up her toys. I found the House Fairy online recently and have been trying it out. The House Fairy comes every night and checks to see if all the toys are picked up. Then she leaves a sticker on a chart we made. After Allie gets so many stickers, she then gets a prize. The jury is still out on whether or not it works, but my little girl is now fascinated by fairies.

Allie is also getting quite good at riding her little bike. She wants to wear the elbow and kneepads around the house all the time.

Lindsay is getting more mobile. She can crawl backwards, but cannot seem to move forwards. She has also perfected the banshee screech. We went to a restaurant last weekend with some friends from Steve's work and Lindsay blessed us with her full-pitched wail for a good part of the evening. I don't think his friends will be wanting children any time soon.

SWEEEEEET! Jamie, I can't believe I am the first person to leave a comment on this post. This is truly an accomplishment (seeing how you always get at least a dozen comments for every posting you write...)! Anyway, when are we going to go enjoy the Springtime together? Don't forget about your family who live just 15 minutes away! Love ya.

Love those pics, as always! Your trees are gorgeous! I am so totally jealous!

And the oh-so-fashionable-eyewear, I don't want to talk about how much it costs either. Apparently it is a NECESSARY expense -- one that I about choked on!

I hope that you'll let me take your beautiful girls soon, so you can go do something for yourself!

Madi went through a phase of calling me 'mother' too. Though it was more like - 'Mo-ther!' I'm back to Mom and Mommy now - hopefully you will be soon!

I am so glad you are doing so wonderfully. I think about you often. I am terrible with phone calls...as your well aware!
I love the pics. You guys always have so much fun! I love it!
Hope you have a great week...mother :D
I didn't marry a doc....and with two wives speaking of the cost of these glasses...maybe I am glad I didn't lol
How much are they?!?!? lol

Isn't everything a "necessity" when it comes to medicine? I miss spring, it came so early here and now it is full on summer. It's been in the 90s! I'm dreading the upcoming 100+, but at least I didn't have to deal with snow right?

Jamie and Steve!

I found your blog from Natalie's. I hope you don't mind my spying! Those girls are so cute! You have done well, it seems! The glasses are quite good looking. Chad would certainly love a pair. Does Allison say "mother" with a British accent? That's when it gets really scary:) (I blame it on that blasted Mary Poppins) Take Care! Shelley

I'm so glad to see you on here again! I love seeing all of your great photos and hearing about what you've been up to. (It may not seem interesting to you, but I love hearing it!)
I hope you have lots of opportunities to enjoy spring!

"Mother" huh. Yes, I can understand why that gets under your skin. My daughter has resorted to calling me "Natalie" when she wants my attention. I then explain that it's "Mom." She giggles and then says, "Okay, Natalie!" This happens about 10 times a day. I just ignore it now!

Jamie - cute! cute! cute!
Maybe Allison can give Carter some lessons on riding that trike (he has the same one and doesn't quite get it). What kind of a tree is that? It's gorgeous!
I don't want Aaron finding out about these glasses or he'll want some just because everyone else does. He'd probably try and use them while doing "surgery" under the hood of our vehicle's. ;)

Your Allison is such a pretty girl. And - - -your husband is such a - - -
lucky guy! Well, my husband isn't a doc either- but just ask me how much a 'good' lens, or light stand is hmmm. (and one camera is never enough)
Love you! keep bloggin' - we love to hear from you, even if you don't think you have much to say.

I had to laugh when I read about the "mother" thing. Madelin went through that exact same phase. It also drove me crazy. But she does call me mom now.
We should have our babies hang out some time to give them a taste of their own medicine. Meagan loves to scream and I actually called her a banshee this morning and thought of Ellie as I did it.:)

I love your pictures. I hate being called "mother." Scott sometimes says "Listen to your mother" or something to that effect, and I have to give him a lecture about how I don't want to be called that...at least it hasn't stuck yet.
I am glad that my husbands "necessary" things can usually come from the half price book store. I just wish they could be the size of those glasses...we have so many shelves and stacks of books I'm not sure what to dO!

I'm glad you're back! You may feel like you're low on creativity, but I love to read what you write and to see your beautiful pics. I am REALLY glad that you are happy and content!!

We had fun sitting behind you at church on Sun. We never sit that far back. (No more walking in at the last minute for us!) Your girls are so adorable, and in case you were worried, they are NOT disruptive. Just normal little kids. And Shayleen, your kids were amazing and well-behaved, too. It's interesting to see what you miss (good and bad) when you usually sit up near the front! :)

I don't have any creativity - so a flea sized creative moment would be a start for me... I don't have kids - so I can't relate to the mother thing like everyone else... but I'm sure its obnoxious

I personally like Steve's glasses because I could actually see close up with them on!!! Unfortunately, trying them on made me realize that it is time for granny glasses! Love the pictures....I can still see well enough to recognize how cute the munchins are!
