Random again?

Okay, so I'm too lazy to find our camera to download pictures from the last month. But here are a few random glimpses into our little world.

1. The above picture is probably the most expensive stuffed animal that we own. I estimate his value with all of his stamps at least fifty dollars. I've noticed several blogs that have "giveaways" lately and I thought about hosting a giveaway for this guy. At least I wouldn't have to worry about shipping.

Nah, I'm too lazy.

2. Allison started Sunbeams today. I sat with her class to help some little youngsters stay "super glued" to their seats (seriously, you should try it). It was so fun to watch her with all the big kids. And I'll admit it, I got a little choked up.

3. Lindsay can't run. She's 19 months and been walking for 7 months, but she can't run. Should I worry or just be very grateful?

4. Steve just had a paper accepted to a European orthopaedic journal. They are doing poster presentations in April. Lisbon, anyone?

**I was just informed that he won't be able to travel to Portugal for the presentation. He's too low on the totem pole.

5. We enjoyed spending the holidays at our house. It was nice and kind of laid back.

6. Lindsay's vocabulary is expanding rapidly. Her new favorite word is "nasty." It is pronounced "na-hee."

7. I'm tired and it is only 8:00pm. Goodnight!

It is good to see a post from you again my friend!
I can't believe Allison is in Sunbeams..=\ She is such a little lady I am sure LOVES being with the big kids and did just fine staying in her seat.
Hope your able to get some rest.
Want to do the gym tomorrow?? I am going to try and go when Mathew gets on the bus. I would be there about 8:30..kind of early huh..maybe I'll see you there...I really need to get my butt back there!

Looks like the stuffed animal has enough postage to go to Lisbon and back... maybe he could bring you back some souvenirs!
Congrats to Steve!
Your Christmas sounds a lot like ours. Sometimes it's nice to be able to stay home and relax!

OUCH on the postage bear. Hopefully some here still sticky enough to reuse!

I'm totally giggling at the stamp animal pic. You probably didn't think it was funny at the time though. Congrats to Steve on his paper, that's big news!

I love random posts!
I love you, my friend. I've needed you today.
I'm impressed with the stuffed animal; proud of Allison and Steve; not worried about Lindsay; sorry there will be no Lisbon this year; glad you had a nice Christmas; and tired, too.

Glad you posted. I've missed you!

I learn from my friends all the time. In this case, take a picture before freaking out about things. That stamp-covered stuffed animal will bring some giggles at some point in the future...

I understand the mixed emotions about the milestones of your kids! I've been choked up every time my kids started Sunbeams. And at many other milestone moments, too...

Congrats to Steve on his paper! Even if he can't go to Lisbon, that is still really cool!

We love the laid back holidays at our house! Glad you enjoyed yours!

Nice to hear that Allison will be shining with the other Sunbeams; that Lindsay is a good walker; that Jamie can look beyond the obvious and smile; and that Steven gets published. What a great way to start the New Year!!

Be grateful that Lindsay isn't running, that's all Spencer does not, he somehow forgot how to walk.

Yo, could you use any of the stamps afterward?...

Always love your posts!!!! Now, which of your darlings got the stuffed animal ready for the mail? We were actually hoping both of them (the girls not their stuffed animals) were getting packaged up for a trip to Papa and Grandma's house! Miss you guys!

We had Star Wars stamps once. I think one actually ended up on a letter the proper way. I'm glad you had a relaxing holiday and that's awesome for Steve!

I'm glad you could look at the stuffed animal situation with humor. I'd probably be shouting obscenities or crying...I'm not sure which. Also, I'd just enjoy that Lindsay isn't running. It's much easier if they aren't fast.

Jamie, I always love your posts. You should be a professional author someday. Seriously. You're so witty! I enjoyed talking to you on the phone today. It feels like we haven't seen each other since Christmas! I miss you guys. Let's get together soon. Oh, and tell Steve he can call me at work again if he's ever in the ER, but to preface it with "don't worry, I'm not a patient here and neither is Jesse." I guess that yesterday I was just a bit overly jumpy at work...
