Okay, so here is what's up with us. Sorry that there aren't any pictures.
1. We bought a van. Steve's car decided it was done. I can't say I was disappointed, the car was a health hazard. Our friend found us a great deal on a 2001 Honda Odyssey and so now we are the proud owners of a minivan. Nothing says hip and young like a minivan, right?
2. Yep, I'm still pregnant. We should have the child by next week at the latest. I'm hoping for sooner. Tuesday sounds good doesn't it? Tuesdays are good days to have babies I think. Tuesday we'll have a grandma here to help out with the other little varmints. We're still open for suggestions on names for varmint #3, so if you have any. . .
3. The kids love their new room. I've just got to finish the binding on Allison's quilt and then I'll post some pictures.
4. Potty training was NOT successful. We had some days when I thought we might pull it off, but in the end it didn't happen. We'll try again in a few months.
5. Last week was quite the adventure. In addition to losing a car, finding a car, and planning a party at our house, last Wednesday I looked out the window and what did I see? The SWAT team standing on my lawn. Our neighbor apparently was threatening to commit suicide and had a weapon. At one point we heard a loud boom and we thought he shot himself or someone else. (I guess the SWAT team uses some kind of distraction smoke bomb thingy to disorient people before breaking down doors--just a little FYI, in case the SWAT team ever comes to your house.) The neighbor and his family were okay, and he is currently getting treatment, but it was weird there for a while.
6. Things have really calmed down around here. We're all doing well and will try to update again in the next two weeks.

Congrats on the mini-van. John's old car has been done for a while now but we're holding out until our family is bigger if possible. Crazy about the SWAT team. Oh, I went into labor with Tanner on Tuesday so we'll count on that. We'll miss you guys next week, happy labor!!
I always hate it when the SWAT team is on my front lawn because it means one of two things: (1) Someone nearby is in big trouble, or (2) They finally found me!
*@#%^* SWAT team! Don't they care about flower beds??
I hope you have a beautiful Tuesday baby! I think you should name her Elyssa Hope. That's what we were going to name Ben, ... until he came out with some unexpected parts! It is a good name, though. And, I don't have any plans for using it any time soon. So, have at it!
Good luck with the baby. Uncle Joe is a very unique name these days. I think you should try that. Just in case you get surprised in the delivery room, that name can also work for a boy.
I don't know that minivan=hip, but minivan=mormon is more likely. You guys still fit in that category.
We will miss you guys next week. We will be thinking of you.
YEAH!!! I am glad you finally posted again. :) I have missed you.
How exciting to have a 'new' car. It will make your life so much easier!!
I am never good with giving peeps name suggestions. That is such a HUGE dicision lol. They are stuck with it for life. Yea I'm a wimp.
But here's a few anyways lol
Katelyn, Andrea, Grace...I don't know lol. I had THE hardest time coming up with names for my own kids.
Glad your neighbor is getting the help he needs. Sheesh I would of been freaked out. Crazy!
Glad you are doing well and I wish you all the best with the delivery.
Sorry I don't have any name suggestions. We can't even come up with any names for our child. So, next time the SWAT team is in your yard, take some pics. Also, congrats on becoming a mini-van driving Mom. If I'd known what I know now, I would have bought a Honda, instead of our Chrysler piece of junk. (Can you tell I'm slightly annoyed with our vehicle right now?)
I am so excited that you got such a great Mini-van. Hope you aren't having SWAT nightmares. I'm excited to meet your new addition. (the baby one)
We can't wait to see Little Rachel Gammon Jr.! ;) I think that name would suit her well, but you can omit the "Jr." part. We're sorry we missed all the excitement when the SWAT team was there. Let us know if we can help out in any way in the next few days. Jesse is especially available until we leave for vacation!
Sounds like you've had your fair share of excitement lately! Hopefully the trend will continue into Tuesday with your newest addition! (Good luck with that!!) I remember hearing on the news about your neighbor.. had no idea where it was at, but I guess I do now! (Does this make you famous by association since it was on the news??!!)
It's great to read something new from you. You've had a great deal of excitement! I hope by now you've had a bit more and you have a new little one in attendance.
I love newborns. They smell so good and they need you so much. You can't do any wrong when they're that age!
You've had a SWAT team and we had an ambulance at the neighbors when we returned home Sun evening. I guess it doesn't matter where you live, there's never a dull moment!
I'm partial to the names Sarah, Jessica, Katie and Laura for girls... :)
Ok, here goes: Ann, Barbara, Carma, Donna, Ellen, and so forth to Zella. One of the in between names may fit her best, though. Great to hear from you.
Good luck with labor and delivery. I'm excited to see photos.
Well, I know I am late in visiting you, but as exciting as the other things you posted about are, I am most thrilled that Sara is here. Congrats, Jamie and Steve! I wish you well!
Howdy! Haven't seen y'all in ages. Congrats on the new kid! I'm also very jealous you got to see a SWAT team in action!
